What if an ambassador says something they shouldn't?
Ambassadors agree to a topic scope on opt-in. Conversations can be flagged by either party and reviewed by HR — without reading the full thread. Async format also gives ambassadors time to think, reducing risk vs. live peer interviews that already happen at most companies today.
Will we get enough ambassador participation?
Ambassador burn is the #1 risk in peer programs. ScoopChat is built around it: ambassadors set their own monthly cap, receive an Impact Digest showing their influence, and can pause at any time. They're in full control.
Does this require IT or engineering involvement?
The widget is one script tag — copy, paste, done. No backend work required. ATS integration (Greenhouse, iCIMS, Lever) on Growth/Scale takes ~30 minutes via OAuth in the dashboard.
Can HR read candidate or ambassador messages?
No — by design, enforced at the database level. HR sees metadata only (volume, completion, conversions). Candidates are told this upfront, which is why they speak honestly and conversations are more meaningful.
How does matching work?
Candidates pick a department, ScoopChat matches them with an available ambassador from that team — distributing load evenly. If no one's available, system retries every 2 hours. Average match time: under 4 hours.
